Regional Curriculum Sales Manager—Great Lakes Region
We seek an experienced salesperson to increase revenue by building effective relationships with current and prospective customers in the Great Lakes region of the U.S., which includes western Pennsylvania and upstate New York. The ideal candidate will be located in Erie, PA; Pittsburgh, PA; or Rochester, NY.

Sales Managers call on current and prospective customers throughout their assigned regions, identifying state and local adoption opportunities for the Company’s hands-on science curriculums, Science and Technology for Children® (STC®) and Science and Technology Concepts for Middle Schools™ (STC/MS™), developed specifically for students in kindergarten through 8th grade.

The successful candidate must be able to work independently and collaboratively. He/she also must be a team player who can effectively communicate and work with the Company’s sales staff, product managers, and outside curriculum consultants to identify and seek adoption opportunities.

Frequent overnight travel (approximately 75%) is required.

To qualify, you must have:

  • A bachelor’s degree in education (preferably science or math) or business/marketing
  • A valid driver’s license
  • Strong general business, analytical, presentation, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills
  • A proven track record in outside sales with demonstrated success in developing new accounts
  • 2–3 years' experience in publishing sales; experience in educational sales is preferred
  • 3–5 years' teaching experience, preferably in science, will be considered in lieu of sales experience
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and organizational skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft® Excel®, Word®, and PowerPoint®

Membership in an education-related organization or planning board is a plus.
